2. What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you (a "Host") create an invitation and when your guests ("Guests") view the invitation or submit RSVP responses.

3. What personal information we collect

3.1 Information Hosts provide

  • Account information: name, email, phone (optional)
  • Event information: event title, date/time, location, schedule, messages
  • Guest list information you upload or enter: guest names and contact details (email/phone) if you choose to use those features
  • Content you upload: photos, videos, music links, messages

3.2 Information Guests provide

  • RSVP responses: name, attendance response, number of attendees, optional meal choice, optional notes
  • Optional messages: guestbook messages (if enabled)
  • Optional uploads: photos (if Guest Snap is enabled)

3.3 Automatic information

  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps
  • Cookies or similar technologies (see our Cookie Notice)

3.4 Payments

Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (for example, Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

4. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide the service (create, host, and display invitations)
  • Process RSVP submissions and show Hosts RSVP dashboards
  • Provide customer support and troubleshoot issues
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Improve the service (analytics and performance)
  • Communicate service-related notices (e.g. confirmations, operational emails)

We do not sell personal information.

5. Consent

We aim to obtain meaningful consent at the time we collect information. Hosts are responsible for ensuring they have permission to upload guest contact information. Marketing communications are optional and require express consent where applicable.

6. How we disclose personal information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Service providers who help us operate the service (hosting, storage, analytics, email/SMS delivery, customer support)
  • Payment processors for transactions
  • Law enforcement or regulators when required by law

7. Cross border processing

Some service providers may process information outside of Canada. If so, your information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdictions where it is processed.

8. Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Suggested default retention model:

  • Event data: until the event is deleted by the Host, or until 90 days after the event date, whichever comes first
  • Logs: up to 90 days
  • If a "Keep Forever" feature is purchased: event data is retained for at least 10 years

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, such as encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring.

10. Your choices and access

Depending on your role: Hosts can edit or delete event content and RSVP data through the dashboard. Hosts and Guests may request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us at [email protected] or via our Data Request page.

11. Children

The service is not intended for children under 13. Hosts should not upload information about minors unless necessary for RSVP counts and with appropriate authority.

12. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and provide notice where appropriate.
